I was kinda worried about Ginny and Blaise, but to tell the truth that would have been HOT. but i am kinda glad you didn't put it in, would have made this story more about Ginny/Harry/blaise. but over all i did likw this story. I think the story is good. I saw Blaise as having some alterior motive, or the medium for which the demons would work through.
But I thought he could have possibly had a genuinely good idea about a magical way to get rid of the demons from previous chapters. Perhaps I just misread intentions, but I didn't think that was the case.

I do have some concerns, however:
"They then decided Draco’s sins. Pride, Sloth and maybe Greed. But he was already rich, so they weren’t sure about that."
I believe you can still be greedy and wealthy. It's not impossible. Also, a colon should be inserted after "Draco's sins."
And just one more thing (from chapter 81): "Snape was looking at Hermione oddly. What was wrong with her? She didn’t act like this before. Like such a know-it-all bitch, bragging about how smart she was."
From Hermione's dialogue alone, the reader can tell that Hermione's being, well, a "know-it-all bitch." So "show, don't tell": let Hermione's words and actions speak for themselves.
I hope this will help! My apologies if it doesn't. (Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan!)

Comment: Lady Zombie: Thank you so much. I was going to do a bit of research on the dangers of overeating, because I knew there had to be something. You can't do that to your body constantly. This isn't a matter of him sitting down and having a huge meal a couple of times a day and gaining weight, he's constantly eating. I already established he didn't look good, so this information is perfect to utilize if I let it get too far. I don't know that I will and thank goodness for healing spells and potions. I really appreciate you pointing that out for me and YAY for clinical research. :))))

For me, this is my favorite story out of all the other amazing ones. I feel as if I am actually within the story, an invisible witness to everything that happens. I'm reading chapter 57 at the moment and as English is a foreign language to me, I had some issues with Hagrid's parts :). I instantly remembered a realy good essay I read on that topic on fictionalley.org (http://www.fictionalley.org/authors/swissmiss/HTWHD01.html). It would make life for one of your personal fanfic addicts (as in me) much easier *g*!

Comment: Welcome back Kath. I had to correct the attack in the forest. They were attacked by Chimeras, not Manticores. Remember when Hermione was taken by the centaurs, she thought she was being stalked by hunting Chimeras? That was the set up for the later attack. But for some reason I put Manticoresm, which look nothing like Chimeras. They don't have three heads.

Comment: lol, Tara. I do. This site is my heart. I have over 4000 files on it, and I posted them all myself. It's a labor of love and I HATE when something fugs it up. I can't rest until I find a way to fix it. I can't write, can't sleep, nothing. I'm having to learn new things all the time, and I just can't read them because I have retention problems. The only way I really learn is by repetition, trial and error. So, it does take time. Plus, I'm babysitting the twins. Right now, I'm trying to wind down from the stress. I hope to get the next chapter out by tomorrow. Thanks for the sympathy. This all goes with running a website by yourself. :)

Comment: Oops. Got carried away reading and forgot to review. Lucius has some nerve, he owes Snape a debt yet still he wants to make from his offer. I think there's more to it than that though. He's up to something deep, I'm sure of it. Intrigued about Hermione's memory kiss. Want to find out more about that. Feel a bit sorry for Ron really, who would'nt be upset if their so-called other half gave up free time to someone else when they can't find time for you. He should take up with Lavender again, leaving Hermione free for Snape. Yeah, thats a good idea I think.

Comment: Hi ccino: I didn't finish answering your question. I showed the mist settling on the fur of the remaining nifflers but not whether or not they inhaled the draught. If they did and became young, I doubt it would be noticed because it could be assumed they were young to start with, and they would have no way to show something was odd about it. And another factor is how close they were to the cauldron when it exploded. Snape was very close, close enough to be injured. The blast may not have reached the nifflers. Since it isn't in the story, we'll just have to speculate about it, and assume nothing happened that attracted any attention.

Comment: It’s interesting seeing how Ron is both moving forward and yet doing things that would in part compete with Snape. His topic is very similar to Hermione’s so I’m sure when that comes out she’ll probably feel upset in some way. I wonder if Ron will keep quiet about his animal form until he takes his NEWTS. I’m still impressed that he managed that within a week. It does show he does have skill if he does focus. Though I do think hiding it from Hermione could put at least a temporary strain on their friendship.
I do feel a little bad that Hermione so far doesn’t have any other prospects other than to find a job in either the mnistry or private sector instead of having a option for patronage such as Severus has. Considering how talented and skilled she is, I’m surprised someone hasn’t given her some kind of oportunity for that yet. Especially with her being known as a member of the “golden trio” Even if there are still prejudices against muggle borns, after the fight with voldermort, you’d think people would be more for unifying the wizarding world instead of keeping with such negative views.
Having Severus be able to smell her now possibly due to his getting in sync with his animal form was rather funny. I guess it’ the lion half that can sense such things as Eagles don’t have an overly strong sense of smell, though it is still stronger than a human’s so I guess any increase would be normal, no matter what the animal. Still I loved how he used his curiousty to open the door with Hermione as well as his own awareness of her own reactions to him. Leaving it off just as they kissed was a wicked little tease. I’m sure a lot of your fans thought the same thing.
I thought the kiss was very sweet though and will leave both of them craving more. Things are definitely going to start getting more electric with them especially after both their reactions after such a sweet kiss. I wonder how deeply it affected Severus though, having never been kissed before or anyone giving him such affection. All the inuendo that came after definitely kept Hermione a bit flustered which is always enjoyable and nice to see that Severus is willing to push things a bit despite is lack of experience.
It looks like Severus might decide to work on the wizarding version of Frizz Ease. Women with curly hair and salons would go nuts for something like that in the wizarding world. Lol, maybe he could sell exclusivly to Love Bites beauty supply if they don’t have something like that already.
The flight looks promising though I wonder if other witches might seek him out after seeing him as a gryphon. I doubt snape would allow it really but I can imagine if others seek him out a bit might make Hermione jealous though that is rather cliché so that probably won’t happen really. I do hope she’ll overcome her fear of flying, at least with Severus as they continue to get closer. I do look forward to more from you on this.

Comment: It was funny to hear Severus tell Hermione about Minerva’s reaction to them being alone together. I’m a bit surprised that he admitted his lack virginity. Most guys aren’t willing to reveal that to anyone though it certainly makes sense though I’m pretty sure he’s at least book learned in regards to different things. He’s too studious not too. It was rather funny that he wanted Hermione to examine his privates in his gryphon form, because only he’d be so bold. I do think Hermione was a bit in the wrong to have Serverus show up in her transfigurations finals. I think some students will think she’s going overboard, after all how many students will have access to a new animagus. The research alone would have been more than enough. She was rather slytherin in her actions to get him to finally agree. Ron trying to find his animagus form just shows how he’s hurting over Hermione. I’ll be surprised if he manages his form before the week is out and if he does, that will show that he’s definitely got some skill even if it’s not an overly powerfull form. I think Harry’s right that his form will reflect his ability in strategy though I don’t know what exactly it would be.
Slughorn is really being his self serving slytherin self, wanting to use snape to make himself look good but that’s to be expected. After all in the words of Ann Rice, and I’m paraphrasing here “People don’t change, they merely become more themselves over time”Of course some people have a lot of different aspects to themselves as long as they have the time to develop that part of themselves. Still Hermione and Severus are slowly getting closer sharing their common interests and drives and learning about each other all over again. Severus is slowly getting to push hermione out of some of her comfort zones, both emotionally and with getting her to fly with him. She did manage to fly before both on a hipogryph and thestrals and those were without saddle, though granted she had someone else with her who was in human. It’s great to see Severus’s joy as he learns to fly and finds his growing trust in Hermione and even Harry. I liked that kiss; it’s definitely making Hermione feel more aware as brief as it was. They are both starting to become more aware and I have a feeling that they will start to progress a bit now though Hermione is pretty darn stubborn unless Severus can somehow reawaken her crush a bit.
I’m a bit shocked that Severus would let Hermione open a book like that without letting her know why she was doing so. Something could really have gone wrong and I don’t blame her for trying to stun him for that. Heaven knows if someone did that to me, they’d at least get a punch in the arm or twenty. I wonder if they will practice a patronus charm or two and see if there is any shift in those animal forms like when Tonks’s shifted when she fell in love with Remus. Severus moving away from his devotion to Lily means his patronus may start to at least reflect himself instead of his unrequetted feelings for lily. I really do hope that as Severus moves forward he can help hermione heal. I really think she’s avoiding dealing with how the battle of Voldermort affected her as I mentioned before and right now, despite his upbringing, Severus is more whole than she is. I liked Ron’s animagus form. I think it suits him a bit goofy but strong and smart and agile. And as disapointed as he is, he did manage to achieve it in less than a week which is a feat in and of itself. I do think in this story, it’s one of your better representations of Ron’s character. I look forward to more as you continue to write.

Comment: Damn hard drive crashes, now I’m behind on my comments. I was obviously wrong about Severus’s Animagus form. A gryphon certainly does suite him, especially the with his rather hawkish nose as well as his own noble actions and nature. Though one thing I find rather unique is that all other animagus’s transform into non-magical animals. So it must also say something about Severus’s power to have such a powerful form. After all there are several impressive birds of prey that have that same kind of loyalty towards mates that you ascribed to the Gryphon. It was great to see him get Hermione up on a broom, though I wonder if she really is really scared or if she never really had the affinity and so made herself doubtfull of it’s safety. I remember in her first year being one of the slowest in the class. So maybe it’s not that she doesn’t trust flying as much as she doubts her own ability to truly fly. I don’t know if Hermione will get her own animagus form for a while as it seems to require releasing emotion as well as focus and meditation. Though if she does manage it in this story, I’d like to see something that was at the very least complementary to Snape’s form. Though it was also good for Hermione to push Severus forward, instead of dwelling on his past and Severus is starting to see something in Hermione, whether it’s caring or beginnings of romance it’s hard to say. He’s still searchng for his place a bit and not yet leaving the past completely behind.
Ron is starting to get a little jealous or at least envious. It’s got to sting to see Hermione spend so much time with Snape even though he was the one to end things. It would probably hurt him more if he hadn’t ended things with her but it still stings. It was funny to see Albus still hiding from snape and Minerva gushing over Severus’s form. Though it’s expected for her to be overprotetive. I think in some ways she still see’s Severus as a teacher after all she’s known him for close to 30 years, ever since he was a lonely and troubled student. That fact is shown with her calling him by his first name despite bascially being a student again and it was good to see Albus to get her back off.
I have to admit being a bit nervous when Severus discovered all those pensives of his years as a spy. Mostly because they would all be dark and negative memories though I will have to admit to being curious about the various orders Severus was given, both by Dumbledore and Voldermort. It was a relief to have Hermione destroy that room and I think a sign to Severus how much she does care for his welbeing. I do think him seeing that Revel, as disturbing as it was, also reinforced to him that he really does have a new start leaving such horrors behind. In a way this discovery really drove it home to him what he left behind. I do think there is more to Hermione being so driven than just her her need to prove herself and her natural love of knowledge though they are part of that. I think she’s doing that so she doesn’t have to process everything she went though in the year of the final battle. She’s keeping herself insanely busy, despite the NEWTS, she’s not taking the time to breath really, well that’s just my little theory. After all she’s witnessed, war, death and Torture. In her own way she’s now more experienced in dark matters than Snape and it’s probably why she was so vhement about destroying those penseves. She probably wants to forget herself. I just hope those feelings don’t come out in a negative way.

Comment: I think one of my review was erased but just to recap on what I said last, I really appreciated how realistic this story is. I've read many stories where the characters are WAY to OOC and situations don't match but this just flows really well.
I love how you are giving Severus a new chance at living life anew as there aren't many (or any that I really know of) out there covering this particular topic. Him going out to get new wardrobe and just changing his outside to fit the new him was just so apropos.
I also really appreciate how you handled the Weasleys in this story. Ron isn't just an idiot and has ideals that he is going to pursue but he's sensitive about it. I was actually not cringing when they broke up because many people usually make their break up over the top. I really like that he's still protective and isn't completely over Hermione the next day.
Also with the whole Lavender situation, you handled it nicely because, even though Ginny is Ron's sister, she didn't hold a bias to Hermione when they were having problems, and was supportive of them working things out. Too many people make Ginny REALLY stupid in their stories when it comes to her protectiveness and it just isn't believable. You make everything in here very real and authentic and I really appreciate that quality in this story.
In the most recent chapters, I thought it was interesting that Severus turns into a Gryphon. Very regal and a bit boastful, like him but making connection to Hermione's Theory about how Lily and James were meant to be, Severus' new for also alludes to that as well, Hermione being a Gryphonder as well. I'm kind of curious as to what Hermione would be but for some reason, I feel it would be OOC for her in this particular story unless it was of dire need. She wasn't one to follow the trends and just because she was awed by Severus' accomplishment doesn't mean she'll go and find herself a form as well; not yet at least. I can really see a situation when they are in trouble and she loses it like Sev and changes into something herself (hopefully not a snake :P) but I think she's perfectly content at exploring being an Animagus through him.
I had to laugh at Hermione in one of the chapters where she was feeling a bit jealous that Sev was getting along fine with everyone else but as you mentioned it has to do with her Inferiority complex. She wanted to be special and so she studied her butt off to get her marks. She worked extra hard to be close to Sev and it made her feel good that she was the only one associated with the Slytherine. She'll get over it, like everything else but I really did enjoy the interaction between the Trio+1. I was rollin' when Ginny was making all the scores all by herself after everyone went to get the snitch.
It was very endearing that Hermione is finding herself, not only drawn to Sev, but also needing to protect him. I really liked that Pensive scene because she showed a bit of anguish that she felt dealing with Old Snape vs. New. That an also it showed Sev how much she really cared and looked out for him.
I can't wait to see what else is in store for his new and bright future. I'm really liking the prospects of him being close or at least on respectable terms with Hermione's loved ones. OH, and interaction with Headmistress & former Headmaster is always entertaining. Keep up the FABULOUS work and I look forward to reading more. CONGRAT on the new Grand Babies!!! <3

Comment: I'm gonna take a quick stab at what Severus's Animagus form is. One Hermione said it was rare and beautiful, so if it's rare and she'd never seen it it's probably magical. Snape transformed when he had predatorial and violent thoughts towards James so it's probably a large and powerful hunter type. Three, if snape and hermione are to be together it might be logical that her own animagus form (when she achives one)could be a match to his, futher confirming thier compatability. Looking up the HP magical creatures, only two seemed even remotely exotic powerfull and impressive, my first choice would be the Nundu a huge leopard with venomous breath. The next which is less likely is the Occamy a flying serpant. Granted these are only in the HP world of magical creatures and I could be off base but thats' my best guess.

Comment: It was almost refreshing to see Hermione get jealous as well as telling that her crush on Severus hasn’t fully abated. I’m almost wondering if he might be able to goad her into working on her flying skills. After all, she mostly dislikes flying because she’s not all that good at it. It’s something that can’t be partially mastered from book reading. I’m sure if he pricks her pride right, he could get her to do it, not for quidditch but just for the joy of flying. I’m sure Hermione will be exceedingly happy at the extra study time she’s going to get because of the extended hours being given though I’m guessing Ron may get a little upset at the number of hours she’ll be spending with Severus, despite breaking up with him. I don’t know if anything will come of it other than ‘rubbing salt in an old wound’. Comment: I loved Severus deliberately goading Hermione into action. It’s something she needs from time to time to shock her out of her studies. Having him lecture her on needing a lover was rather funny. Hermione was clueless to why he would be aluding to such and I’m again wondering what kind of experiences Severus remembers having at this point in his life. Snape is just gifted at pushing her buttons and getting her riled up. Even her break up with Ron didn’t get her fired up like when she thought of loosing access to Severus’s library. Or the conversation that followed in his quarters.
It was great seeing Severus get out with Harry and Ron for the quidditch game. It was nice to see him start to get along with them though it was definitely more of a pissing contest between Severus and Ron. Despite the new direction he’s starting to take, it’s good to see his character stay true. Though it’s a bit worrisome to hear that Hermione is withdrawing more from her friends all for the sake of study time. I feel like she needs something else to challenge her to keep her from being totally obsessed or a hermit. Honestly if it wasn’t for the dangers she faced being Harry Potter’s friend she probably would be little more than a tutor and social outcast.

Comment: This is gonna be long as I'm commenting on 4 chapters. It was nice to hear about what was going on in Hermione’s head a bit as to why she is so obessed. I know I was one of the reviewers asking for more onto why she’s so overdoing it. Some part of me thinks it might be more than the need to prove herself though. After all this is the only time when the hasn’t been some kind of danger at Hogwarts that she wasn’t a part of helping out with. It’s almost as if she’s eating up all her free time subconsciously because she needs to keep busy. To stop and think of all she’s gone though might really cause for a let down of barriers that she doesn’t know she has. Now she no longer has any other outlets other than her studies and the need to prove herself above the “mudblood” onus. You know if she really wants to effect change, allying herself with Severus will also give her connections to Malfoy. That would end up helping her in the future though she doesn’t know about that yet. (can you guess which house I’d be sorted into?)
Ron’s being quite mature, about this then again the war has probably forced everyone deeply involved in it to grow up. He’s definitely got some archaic ideas though considering how he was raised his views could be a heck of a lot worse. After all his own family could barely make ends meet yet only one parent in that house worked in a job that resulted in a paycheck (granted raising seven children is one hell of an achievement and wouldn’t leave time for another full-time job on Molly’s part) Sometimes I wonder at Ron’s lack of ambition considering he was always measureing himself against his brothers and fearing he’d come up short. In a way he’s still got is own inferiority complex and he will need someone who will make him feel like he’s measuring up. And he deserves better then Lavender Brown.

Comment: Things seem to really be starting to move again for everyone. I actually laughed when Hermione told off Severus and he actually apologized. It’s refreshing to see him starting to show a softer side or at least a less prickly one as he starts to feel more secure. Even so, he’s already sewing seeds to get closer to Hermione, and away from Ron, asking her why she’s with him, then taking turns tempting her with his library in exchange for study sessions and mild goading, saying he’d look for a ravenclaw to help if she refused. Sometimes the really fun senarios are the ones where you know you’re being deliberately tempted or manipulated and still end up going for the bait. I can just see those two getting into debates on theory at some point and I’m sure the sparks will really start to fly then.
I loved how you had Harry and Hermione help really fill in the gaps in the pensive to truly give Snape a full picture of what happened in regards to Lily’s death as well as everything that lead up to the final battle. Though knowing what he knows now, I wouldn’t be terribly surprised if Severus wanted to try to blast Dumbledoor’s portrait again. Though, arguably Albus was playing the role of a General in a war, and sacrifices must be made but those who fight in the war, strategies played with that will have potential losses. It makes him a good leader, but a real manipulative arse where one would respect the man but cease to like him on a personal level. But now I’m rambling again. I look forward to seeing more of Severus’s reactions as he absorbs everything from the pensive and to see if his outlook on others really does start to change a bit. You just know Hermione studying with Severus is going to increase the tension between them and may even drive him right back to Lavender. Though I’d rather see Ron with someone else if she really turns out to be a bitch. I’d help Ginny Hex her if I could. Well that’s enough out of me. Take care.

Comment: It’s nice to see Severus moving toward that new start he’s been given. He’s got a patron now, a bit of money to play with. I’m guessing getting out and away from Hogwarts helped a bit and all those reminders. Even just buying robes, books, and a new haircut must be positive and self empowering for him. I nearly burst out laughing when you put your favorite vampire couple for a little bit. I was concerned about him burning through his savings a bit. As frugal as Severus is doesn’t seem to have much in the way of money management at this age, especially when he bought the broom so I was a bit relieved that his severance would cover all that he spent. It was nice seeing the early years of Severus’s teaching techniques. Having Dumbledoor leave his portrait to hide when Minerva Summoned him was worth a laugh. Part of me is hoping to see if there is any particular reason why Hermione is as driven as she is. Her actions really do border on obsession and I think as Severus settles and Hermione continues to work with him he might get to the bottom of her compulsion. It’s certainly not fair in her treatment of Ron. She shouldn’t have given up on him so quickly when he was upset. It’s almost as she’s with Ron because she saw it as the next logical step instead of really deep love and emotions. Then again I don’t think Ron truly loves her either. The question is can they be both be adult about the possible dissolving of their relationship. I’m also wondering if with Severus’s more positive perception that he’ll still want his memories of his old life. That Harry has. To know that Dumbledoor was willing to sacrifice Snapes piece of mind by committing murder and then sacrificing himself as well by trying to make him master of the elder wand. Dumbledoor is really gonna want to stay in hiding if and when Snape discovers that. I look forward to the next installments. I also hope your daughter’s C-section goes off without a hitch.

Comment: Well, Ron isn’t as hotheaded as expected, (perhaps the night to think helped) and I can understand his jealousy. I actually feel a little bit bad for him. I’m hoping Hermione doesn’t feel too guilty. Guilt weekens you after all opens you up to become a victim and target and while momentary guilt is okay as a way to learn one should never dwell on it too much. I’m glad to see Severus is taking Lucious in hand. He’s finally showing some of his old shrewdness. It’s only been two days so far so he’s handling it a bit well but it seems like Severus may end up with enemies in his own house and allies in Gryphandoor because of Harry and Hermione. That would be rather ironic and part of me would really like to see Snape and Harry get along, not be best friends but get a healthy respect for each other. I do think learning about how Harry was treated by Petunia may help with it. Now the next step is seeing how Snape will react to the memories Harry has regarding his service to Dumbledoor. I have a feeling Albus might get blasted again though learning that he is the one who gave up the prophesy to Voldermort which lead to the deaths of the Potters may take some of the wind out of Snape’s sails as the wronged party. Comment: ack, this thing cut off part of my review, guess I do talk too much, here's the rest...Debt or no debt, he wouldn’t do anything that didn’t serve his needs and aspirations. The man always had too much political sway for his own good. His abandoning Voldermort in the final battle for Draco shows as the very least he does care for his family and legacy. I’m curious to see if there are any other dark reasons for Malfoy’s offer. You’ve always painted him as quite the sadist and a sociopath when considering his actions in the final book, he’s not that terrible.
I also look forward to the confrontation between Hermione and Ron. No doubt it’ll be rather messy and will unfortunately create even more animosity between Severus and Hermione that he would divulge something like that to Ron. Not to mention flaring Ron’s Jealousy and possessiveness. I guess the best thing to say is that the plot is thickening and things are most likely going to become more volatile before they get better. I can’t wait for the next installment.

Comment: Sighs; It seems like Severus is determined to do whatever he can to alienate others no matter what. Granted he’s basically reacting emotionally to all the shocks he’s been exposed to as well as his conditioning due to the Mauraders and their attacks on him. Still, he really should take some time to look at potential positives soon. Then again despite his coldness, Snape in his own was was both stubborn and hot headed. For example, treating Harry the way he did because of the reminder of who’s son he was. It’s a classic example of the sins of the father being used to punish the son. Not to mention his own guilt driving him into Albus’s service as a spy as well as the need to protect Harry for the sake of Lily.
Still, he’s in a place where he’s got some financial freedom, access to tons of knowledge though his own private book collection, living in a world where most people have their eyes open to the prejudice of muggleborns and what it can lead to. Basically the Wizarding world has just gone though a very mild civil war. He’s got a fresh start and the world is a site bit better off than it was the last time he was in such a position, not to mention his own financial state, while not enourmous is enough to give him a lot of freedoms he’s not had before.
Yet he’s stepped on Draco’s toes, made an even stronger enemy/rival out of Ron (though that could really be fun to see later on) and seriously hurt Hermione when in some ways she’s as much of a loner as he was. If it wasn’t for Harry or Ron, she’d probably be completely alone. And now Lucious Malfoy is looking to get his claws into the potions master. No doubt Mr Malfoy sees the advantages of taking a “hero of the Order” under his wing in such a time of need. It’ll probably help his political career as well as he probably wants to find out if he can utilize the potion Severus was working on. Debt or no debt, he wouldn’t do anything that d

Comment: Lol, Typical male. All the information he absorbed and mostly regarding Hermione, either as competition or as a way to torment others like when he waggled his eyebrows at Ron. All that he sees and learns about himself and he latches onto an unguarded fantasy. Though at the very least, if I were Hermione, I'd be insulted at being considered a Lolita. If I'm correct, Lolita was only 12 years old where Hermione is considered an adult in the wizarding world, despite the age difference. I don't know a single girl who didn't at one time or another didn't have at least one crush on a teacher while in high school. So in a way, I find Hermione's attraction and fantasies normal.
She should have known better to keep her Occulmency walls up around such wicked thoughts. Of course no matter what explanations given, by Hermione, Snape is gonna take advantage of that attraction and crush. He wouldn't be slytherin if he didn't. I guess the question I'd have at this point is how much experience with women does he have if any. He was still very much obsessed with Lily after all. I just hope that he doesn't end up hurting Hermione in any pursuits he does start.
I like Severus questioning Hermione's obsession with Knowledge. I wonder if any secrets will come out with that. Part of it is just her love of knowledge but I know it's also somewhat a drive to prove herself. After all, being Muggleborn, she's been told that she's inferior and has a need to prove herself. I wonder if she had any hard times, being a witch and having strange things happen when she was growing up. She was probably the odd girl out because of unexplainable things happening to her just like any child who possesses magic. Heck, with her knowlege and skills, she really has the potential to be one of the most powerfull witches in this day and age. One thing is for certain, sparks are ready to fly between the two and I can't wait to see what will happen next.

Comment: I love the premise of this story! I was so disappointed there was only 8 chapters but that just gives me more to look forward to this summer!
I really love the competitive nature starting between the two and am wondering how they will end up together but I'm sure it'll be hot :D
I also really like the idea that he may be getting some of his memories back (the bucktooth) and still very youthful. It's different from what you normally write and would be interesting if something like, him getting all his memories back later on and how his younger psyche copes with his very austere older self. I really hope you keep him young though and see how everything pans out now that he can rebuild his future and create a new identity for himself.
I look forward to the next chapters :D
